Well it’s that time again. The festive period is upon us, the end of year is looming and it’s time for all bloggers in the blogosphere to post their all important 2012 plans post. I just wonder how many posts like this will be popping up from now until the end of the year?
Just so you know I’m not doing anything different, I will or am jumping on the band wagon and enlightening all about my 2012 plan of action! So full of good intentions with the holiday season just around the corner, I write this post at lightening speed while listening to the Pogues ‘Fairytale of New York’ in the background with a festive holiday season smile.
So what is my plan for the year ahead?
I have 3 core elements to my 2012 plan, and they consist of 3 major product launches.
The first one is almost complete; it’s a joint venture product with John Thornhill and is going to be something very special indeed. I am very proud of what we have created so far, in fact just today we created a further 7 videos to add to the product members area. I have never spent so much time in front of the camera in one day, it kind of felt like I was making a movie. We are easily up to 6 hours worth of video content, also included are PDF’s, MP3’s, worksheets and more so I look forward to the launch very early next year.
Next on my plan of attack is product number two which I’m also keeping a secret. This post isn’t really turning out like a revealing one is it? What I can reveal however is there will be some kind of opportunity for readers at the Dan Sumner Blog to take part and grab some exposure. The product will happen, the domain name has been secured and graphics are done, so I estimate a March/April launch.
Last of the core plans for 2012 is some kind of mentoring. Jacinta Dean gave me the push a few days ago. I have been involved with IM for a long time and the time has come to create my own mentoring and training course and give people a chance to learn and benefit from some intense training. My plan for training is sometime around July/August, this should see me into the New Year as would like to concentrate all my efforts on my training for the rest of the year.
What else is in store?
Between all projects I still plan to continue running my PLR business and also creating blog content. I have also been playing around with Adsense website and have a couple of sites ranking on page 1 for certain key words. I will reveal more about this in the New Year as I will be creating a dedicated blog series to it to which I want you all to join in if you can.
As well as the core elements and the Adsense websites I will also be keeping my other interests updated with John Thornhill and Dave Nicholson. Multi Profit Websites updates and Free Monthly websites updates are all ongoing and still a day to day part of our businesses.
A focal point
I have enjoyed blogging so much this year I am going to make my blog a focal point of my business from now on. I want to create a lot more frequent and engaging content and also become more active around the blogosphere. This means a lot more social activity, free reports, updates and a lot more blog hopping. I have read so many great and inspiring blogs this year, I now have a list of favourites which I now read and comment on a regular basis. I’m always looking for new information and inspiration to help me grow not only my business, but me as a person. There will be more to come on this subject later.
Last but not least (first in fact)
The last few years have been a rollercoaster of a ride for me. Twice a new father in three years my family means the world. The simple things like my baby boy Sam smiling and laughing at me, arms stretched out for a hug to lying in bed next to Evie reading a bed time story truly rocks my world. Even though I haven’t had more than 6 hours sleep per night for the last three years. I couldn’t be more thankful for what I have. A well as my beautiful children I have my lovely wife Emma who couldn’t be more helpful, understanding and supportive to what I do and to want I want to achieve and for that I am truly grateful. I will always have time for my family, not just in 2012 any time!
It’s funny how I can break my 2012 plan down into 534 words, but I know it’s going to take a lot more effort than simply writing about it. I feel excited that I will complete these goals as they are not unrealistic. It is a challenge, but one I welcome with open arms.
Comments – What are your plans for 2012? Do you have any goals? Do you have a plan like I have? Let me know what your plans are I would love to hear your thoughts.

Hi Daniel
I wish you all the best with your projects for 2012…
…being linked up with John should be interesting – so I’ll be keeping an eye out for that one
I’ve always wondered why you’d never went down the road of mentoring, because you’ve got plenty of knowledge gathered up throughout the years and I’ve seen plenty of your work – which has helped people greatly.
I’ll be keeping an eye out for them hidden secrets you’re just not mentioning yet – I know they say don’t be wishing the days away…but role on 2012 to we all get a look

Thanks for the vote of confidence Eamon. Coaching is natural progression for me, in business and personally. I am really looking forward to it. I do have some training planned with JT sooner but that’s a secret
Hope you are well Eamon
I was just about to start writing my next post about my plans for 2012. I am confidnet it will be a year to remember as I have grand plans! For me 2012 will be the year when all my hard work will finally bear sweet fruit.

Hey Nahid that’s great to hear you have some great plans for the future. Don’t lose that thought plan and stick to our guns as they say. I will slide by your blog soon to check out those plans
Hi Daniel,
It’s great that you have set yourself targets and have plans to work to.
I will be setting out my own soon.
Good luck with everything but watch out for John Thornhill. He will have you in front of the camera whilst he directs from his chair with JT on the back.
Regards
Dave
I know what you are saying Dave. I think I will buy him a chair JT written on the back. Do you have any plans for 2012 Dave?
My immediate plans for the new year is to launch my first product which was created as part of John’s Partnership to Success program.
I am working on a couple of other things which are a little up in the air at the moment. I will see where they land and take it from there.
Dave
Well done on the partnership David, now you will learn a lot form JT. I helped John design his first training course, so I know how much material he gives. No doubt I will see your product when it’s finished.
Thanks for sharing Dave.
Hi Daniel
Coincidentally, I was also thinking of plans for 2012 last night and decid3d to do a post when I get time. Adding screen shots to my ebook is taking my time at the moment. Have deleted the existing ones as WordPress just updated. At least it will be upto date!
Plans for next year include lots of work on my recently neglected blogs, learning as much as I can, 2 new products and hopefully making some money!

Well now you have WP version 3.3 you should be able to move forward with it Dee. I wouldn’t worry to much about the images once they are in, you can always update to the next version in the future if things change dramatically. It’s great to hear you have some big plans for next year Dee.
Sounds like some great things in store for you next year Dan. I have no doubt that the product with John will be awesome. I know several people who have purchased his programs and benefited greatly from them. I’m sure you are very excited although it’s been a lot of hard work.
Like everyone else, I’m looking forward to learning about these little secrets you are holding back from us. Although I’ve only been visiting your blog for a very short time, I can tell you are someone who really knows his stuff and is eager to help others with their online journey as well. Those are the people I enjoy connecting with as well.
I am going to take the time to write my goals down this weekend so as soon as I have those all set in stone, I may or may not be sharing a post about them. I believe that me writing them down on paper and having them here right in front of me will definitely do the trick for me. I already have my posts lined up for the remainder of this month.
Thanks for sharing what you’ve got going and I wish you all the best. Have a good time tonight and enjoy your weekend. Stay safe now!

I would like to see a post about your plans for next year as I am interested in what you have in store.
Thanks Adrienne.
Looks like you’re going to be busy Dan. I hope you launch with John goes well?
I’ve got a WSO planned for January (was meant to be before Christmas, but that wasn’t happening was it). I’ll then try my hand at posting it on Clickbank once the WSO has run it’s course.
Speaking to John a few weeks ago, he seems to get a lot of traction from Clickbank and Randy gave me a few handy tips too! So I’ll be putting that all into practice in 2012.
Gonna create more videos and also try my hand at Podcasting. Studying stats from other sites shows me that itunes is sending plenty of targeted traffic. We’ll have to run a Desey test in 2012 and see

Got to keep busy Des, its the only way to be. I was meant to launch this week, but I have made some changes and added more to the product so it is going to be after Christmas for me too. I love CB for promoting and selling it’s just so simple. The only thing I don’t like about is the refund process is so simple and there are a lot of serial refund guys out there. I know CB are looking into this and trying to stop these people from doing it.
I you are doing podcast interviews I’m in
Thanks Des
You’re on. I hold you to that

Hi Dan,
Congratulations on your new product and getting John to go in with you .I’m sure you will do great because it sound like your putting a lot of good stuff in there .When you go live maybe I can be an affiliate and help sell if it’s a paid product. If it’s a free product I will help you give it away. I m learning WSO domination from John Right now and when done plan on making a WSO. And still promoting my ebook.

You are more than welcome to promote the product Zora. I will provide more details when the time comes, but for now we are keeping it under wraps.
WSO domination is a great course and well worth the money it cost. JT definitely over delivered on that one.
Thanks Zora
Hey Dan,
Thanks for sharing all your plans for next year man.
Those are really exciting news and I can’t wait to start checking out all your progress.
I have bought some products from JT in the past and have liked his stuff quite a lot.
I know that David also has his own mentoring course and I know that you as a group, are like “The Three Amigos”!
Can’t wait to see what you guys are cooking!
As for my plans, I intend to write a post on that subject too (you mind reader! lol) but as a little sneak preview, I’m planning to release at least one product per marketplace.
Definitely NOT chasing money, focusing on product quality, amazing value and gaining the EXPERIENCE!
This will include stuff like publishing something on Clickbank, something on Amazon (for Kindle), creating a first membership site, a first micro niche site and some random stuff like coding a WP theme from scratch (there are many other plans but that’s a start)
So I have a lot to do, hopefully I’ll stay focused and work with one thing at a time!
Take care and speak soon mate, good luck!

“The Three Amigos” I like that.
I used to chase the money Sergio and as much as we need it (that’s why we work) you do seem to promote anything and forget about what or why you are actually working for. Just try your best to provide the greatest info possible and you will be rewarded.
I look forward to your next post
Hey Dan,
Thanks for the recommendations man, really appreciate it!
I finally wrote some of my goals for 2012 back at my site, they are not highly detailed but I’ll be writing a lot more about them as we go as in specific challenges.

Hi, Dan! Great post, interesting, informative and optimistic–I like that!
I hope to have a blog up soon, possibly two. I joined John’s mentoring program for some guidance and to avoid reinventig the wheel, so to speak. I’m looking forward to this challenge, and also looking forward to your new offerings.
The best to you and yours for the New Year, and beyond! Stay well!
Joe Lampo
Hi Joe, its great that you are moving forward with your projects and that you have a well respected mentor like JT. I did do it the hard way and learned myself with JT incidentally. Having a mentor sure makes it a lot easier.
Hi Dan,
Somebody has got 2012 well planned out. Looks good and look forward to seeing your products etc. 2011 was not a very good year for me. I am my own worst enemy, especially the last 3 years. Buying product after product and not putting them to much use. This year was the same, buying products and only using them a ltd time. I have now changed that. I am concentrating on one thing for 2012. I am sticking to selling Public Domain material. I have already got stuff that is ready to go on eBay. I did a trial run earlier this month. I’m putting the finishing touches on my listing. I think I might have been to expensive, think I’ll lower the price. All I need is a bit of luck.
2011 also saw my computer crashing twice, in January and December, spooky or what. The first one was a HDD crash, lost everything, didn’t have a back up. Second one was not as serious as first thought. In 2012, purchasing products is going to be a NO NO, if I can help it. I need to concentrate on what I’m doing. I’m also going to attempt another ebook.
Dan, and all your subscribers, Have a Merry Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year. Slainthe Mhatha!

Hey Donald, Its great that you have your plan ready for action. I have always tried to stick wit the plan at hand and not stray from it. I have ran three projects all at once and this can be hard to do. Well done on taking action on something solid
You have a great Christmas and Prosperous New Year
Hi Dan and Happy New Year 2012! I can see you intend to have a productive and fruitful year ahead and that’s really great – I’m always coaching folks to appreciate what they have and decide what’s next and how they are going to succeed further. I think sometimes, though, we just get too cluttered with the earnest To-Do lists and we get so active ticking off our daily dozen To-Do’s we kinda forget to have fun! So time plenty of time to relax too, as you’ve put in some serious online ‘mileage’ in 3 years!

I have never been one not to relax Adwello I feel it helps my creative side
Like I said to Eamon, I do intend to step it up this year a little and get some solid products out there.
I know what you mean when you say the dreaded to do list. I have taken to writing essential goals down only and then just going with the flow for my daily stuff. I still maintain balance and productivity; it’s just not ass regimental as some people have their structures.
Have a great year Adwello and thanks for stopping by
Hi Mr Daniel,
Well it goes to show I haven’t been online for a little while. I just noticed I had given you a push!
lol hahahahahaha
Actually seriously. I do believe you will be a great coach, especially if you get into showing people the techie stuff the way you do. When you teach, you explain things slowly and clearly which is perfect for newbies, plus you also show different ways of doing the same thing if we don’t get it one way you have shown another.
Coaching is a natural progression for you and you will be awesome at it.
I look forward to promoting you when you do.
I would like to one day teach, however I am looking to do that more in 2013. My plan is to eventually take this learning offline. I miss teaching the class atmosphere in person. Not to sure how I am going to do it, but I need to wait until my little one is established in school before I can do that which is 2013/2014.
So until then, my plan is to build on my foundations. Concentrate on email marketing, building my list and creating some resell products packages. I am finally going to be using all that plr and mrr stuff that has been collecting dust on my hard drive!
Then 2013 will be all about creating my own training products online in my own bimbo style.
And 2014 will be all about taking the online training offline.
Yes I have mapped out the next 2 years! That is what I get for having a 4 year old home with me for the last 5 months. Hardly been online so did a lot of planning instead! Now for the action time when she gets back to kinder in a few weeks.
This year is going to be a good year!
See you back here soon!
Cheers
Jacinta
P.S I will keep bugging you this year until you do get your coaching organised!! hahahahahaha but don’t rush it. Do it when your ready!

Yeah you were one of the people in ‘I’m going to push Dan gang’ who did give me the incentive to break out some coaching this year. I’m trying not to think too much about it yet as I have other plans happening before that, but it’s always in the back of my head bubbling away
I am hoping to do a lot more training this year starting with my next post. I do have plans for a restructure of my blog a little. The categories are a mess and it seems to lead nowhere for me. I will be talking about that a little later.
It’s cool that you have a plan Jacinta and I can’t wait to see what you have in store for us. Dave Nicholson and I have a PLR Profit webinar coming out soon which will talk about how to maximize profit from PLR so you should um on that it will be good.
Thanks for bugging Jacinta it makes me feel wanted. I look forward to seeing what you have in store for us this year.
Welcome back and don’t stop!
Daniel, my prayers are with you in achieving these goals you set for this year. Now is 2012 my year? I am confident in saying yes! I made some evaluation with my past activities and have been noting which works and which don’t. Well, I am positive things will work out this year better than 2011. I am looking forward to reading more of your interesting posts this year too.

It’s another round of the year. And it is best to set our goals for the entire year. But before anything else, it best to have your plans set. Planning is very much important in order for us to achieve our objectives for the whole year. It is such a good idea to note what are your objectives in a place where you can fully think of what you want to achieve for the year. Then you need to set deadlines as to when you would like to achieve those goals. Lastly, a plan will not be successful if you will not implement what you plan.
Hey Andrew, welcome and thanks for stopping by. I seem to be making more and more plans the more I think about it. I have quite an extensive list now, but I’m still sticking to my original ideas. Anything else at this stage is a bonus.
Some great advice there Andrew thanks for your input.
