About Dan Sumner

If you asked me to describe myself, I would say I was just a regular guy not unlike many others who simply enjoys what life has given him. I am not a millionaire, I don’t have a private jet, I don’t drive a Ferrari. I’m just a guy..

I was born in 1976 in the North East of England. I live with my wife Emma, daughter Evie and son Sam. I love spending time with my wife and children also meeting with friends and family. My life is fairly simple, I know what I want and stick to my plans to make them work.

I like to keep fit by going to the gym, but my true sport is golf. I’m not the best but give it my best shot every time. I find it very relaxing and it gives me time to think about things which are important to me.

I also like to relax in front of the TV, catching a good movie with some good food. I love cooking and I am always creating new dishes. Cooking is another hobby which I find relaxing and one which allows me to explore my creative side.

My other passion is traveling. I would like to travel and see as much of the world as possible. I have already seen most of Europe also Thailand, Mexico, Cuba, and Egypt. I have also spent time in New York. I do feel traveling opens your eyes to the world you live in and I am always excited for my next vacation (with children of course).

Ok So What About the Dan Sumner Blog?

I have been online marketing since early 2005 where I started selling eBooks on eBay before the digital download ban. Once the ban took effect, I made the decision to take my business online and into general online marketing. eBooks were a good way to build affiliate revenue and mailing lists, but it was my blog and online marketing where I found my passion. It was from there my business has grown.

Shortly after I quit eBay I started working for good friend and very successful marketer John Thornhill. It was here I learned a lot about the business and how to become a success at it. I stayed with John for just under 4 years and in 2009 decided that my own business was slowing down too much to let it go and made a break to go out on my own.

Internet marketing has become more than a business idea from 2005! It has now become a passion which I really enjoy doing. It gives you the freedom to work when you want and allows you to express your ideas and products to help other people. My blog has also become a focal point for me and a hub to teach people some online marketing tips and tricks for free, so I hope you enjoy them

Not only do I love my work but I can work from anywhere I choose. As long as I have an internet connection I can work. This allows me to be very flexible “any time, any place, anywhere”

Every day I learn something new about online Marketing. It is such a huge business and I always find something new to keep me occupied.

I currently have multiple online businesses and I continually want to expand and grow my product portfolio.

I am not a self confessed internet guru like some internet marketing people claim. I would rather consider myself  as a internet marketing student constantly striving to better myself and my business model.

It’s Not Easy
