Dan Sumner Blog MoneyDo you research or are you prepared to be taught? This is the question I get asked a lot. Well not exactly in those words but rather “Is it better to research my way to success or should I have a mentor or get help?”

My answer is “The choice is yours. We all have a choice of what we want to do and where we want to be in the future.” I did it the hard way and yeah it did take time but you do learn, and 4 years later things are going well.

If I told you to take on a coaching course would you believe me? Would you think it was the best course of action for you based on my advice? The thing is, many people want to succeed online but most guys won’t spend a penny trying to do it! Not that this is a bad thing by any means but the truth is there are so many guys wanting to start their internet marketing business without wanting to spend a single penny and quite frankly this attitude gets you nowhere.

Believe it or not one of the most common questions I get is “I don’t have any money can I start my business this way. Will you help me?”

Now if you think about this question a little you will find the immediate answer which probably springs to you is ‘NO’ starting your business with Zero Cash is impossible in my opinion. I would say get this no money attitude from your mind and think about spending a little rather than none.

I am going to cover some angles today and show you how you can start your business with very little cash and also start and boost your business with a small cash injection. These methods require small investments so if you want to start a business without spending a single penny then stop now and go rob a bank or dig for gold or something! (I was joking, please keep reading).

Ok here we go with the ‘very little’ cash injection method.

First I am going to present a list to you of the things you need when you want to start an online business:

The Last two weeks for me have been very relaxing. Since the launch of PLR Monthly Firesale I have taken two weeks off from blogging and marketing in general to recharge my batteries and take things into prospective to figure out my next move. While I was off having fun, mostly spending time at the beach and teaching my daughter how to say more words than Daddy, Mammy and One More! I started to think about where I wanted to be in my life and how I was going to get there.

Now I don’t have a big life plan at all, I have a general idea of what I want to do and where I want to be but in no way do I have my life mapped like some people. Even from my days at school I remember my careers advisor asking me what I wanted to do with my future. And to be honest I would always find it hard to answer the question. In many ways I would have loved to set myself a life goal but I probably would not be here writing this now, so I’m winging it with millions of others :-)

During my time off I did started to think about what life lessons I live by and I found 7 lessons which I feel help me in my life and business. So in no particular order here they are:

Chill Out From Time to Time it Helps

The time I spent off work has for me been great. Recharging your batteries and spending time with family and friends have been fantastic. I know I am not alone here when you find yourself grinding away from day to day, whether you’re working your day job, marketing job or you’re preferred or not choice of employment we all need a recharge.

No Blog Content To Think Of?Do you find there are days when you take a look at your weekly job list and at the top of the list is ‘Create Blog Post’? I do take the time at least once per week to write a blog post but what do you write about? Do you ever get the BLOCK where you simply spend an hour staring at your own word document waiting for the title or inspiration to pop in your head? Alternatively you may have a subject in mind, so you get right to it writing to find you run out of content at 200 words! Yeah we have all been through it and guess what most guys do when they hit this stumbling point? Give up hit save and just switch off!

What Can We Do to Prevent The Switch Off?

There are a number of things we can do to prevent ourselves from simply hitting the ‘X’ and saying ‘I will do it tomorrow’ Here are a few examples I can think of right now and what I think about when I post:

1. Stop staring and take action! What I mean is reflect back on your week and remember what you have done to help you be creative? Did you create a new product? If so what did you do? How did you do it? What was your inspiration? Take a specific part of your product creation and write about it. continue reading…

pencilsArticle Marketing is one of the cheapest forms of traffic generation in the business. 99.9% of all articles sites are free so you have the ability to utilise free traffic in exchange for a little time and effort. There are a lot of article marketing sites around so the choices are quite infinite to who you would like to spend your time subscribing too, but the traffic benefits can be very good indeed. (I will post a list at the end)

Here is a little scenario for you – It’s Monday and the first thing on my list today is “yeah you guessed it” create an article or two. Now articles are easier in my opinion than a blog post for a couple of reasons:

1, You only need to write around 400 words to be sufficient to submit your articles
2, You can write about any topic you like, but do try to stick to your niche.
3, You can use a cut down blog post or use the Ezine Articles widget to automate your blog  post as an article
4, You can utilize your existing articles as research to create new articles. It’s called flipping and this can be done when submitting to more than one article website to gain more individual articles.
5, You can also use info from your eBooks and research from past ones

So before you get all worried I have just given you five easy ways you can create an article. The whole process should take you no longer than continue reading…

SolitudeYou see I started to think about this post and the recent online activities I have taken part in so far, my mind kept on churning out a lot of different ideas and the steps I am going or want to take part in next. During my ride I decided to forget about making money for the time being and concentrate on the list I have before me what are my next steps?

1, should I send out a new free guide like the one you see on the right of this post which I recently wrote? Traffic maybe or a free blogging guide?

2, Should I concentrate on a new product and forget about offering free information?

3, should I concentrate on my blog and give it 100% over the next few months?

Rome Was Not built In a DayFor the last two weeks I have been training guys how to use bespoke software programs designed for one use only. It’s not the fact of the software that I want to talk about today it’s the knowledge people have of systems and how they use them.

You see training guys is what I find comes quite naturally to me, I feel I have a good way of explaining issues and answering any questions people may have. Take marketing for example, I have been in the business for over 5 years now and have taught a lot of people how to achieve goals from designing websites to building their own products.
