Welcome to part 3 of building your subscribers with an opt-in. If you missed the last two posts then you can take a look at part 1 here and part 2 here. I’m sure you will find them helpful especially if you are new to opt-ins.
In the last two parts we looked at creating an opt-in via Aweber and inserted the opt-in form to my test blog. This is only really the beginning of the opt-in form development and now it time to get a little technical. Yes I did say technical, but please don’t worry as I have provided all the tools and info you need below.
In this video post I want to take a look at integrating a graphical look to the opt-in and adding incentive to join your mailing list. It has been proven over and over that giving something away for free works better than a simple subscription box. Take a look on the right of my blog at the ‘Connect with Dan’ subscription box. I get hardly any subscribes from that opt-in due to the ‘Instant Download’ below it. This is something I need to change when I update my blog very soon, and It will look like the test blog we have been working on lately, check the new form out here
Ok lets get to it, please check out the video below, and if you have any issues at all just let me know. There will be some downloads available after the video if you would like to use the same giveaway as me. I will run through this in the video as well.
Video1- adding graphics to your opt-in:
Video 2 – Adding Brandable Reports to Aweber and Download:
Important Download links:
1. Opt-in Graphic Download Here
2. Brander eBook Package Download Here
3. Custom Graphics (optional) Go Here
4. Aweber
Well there you have it, how to add a free download graphical opt-in to your blog. Please let me know if you liked the video and if you decide to use the opt-in, or just have something to say. I would love to hear your comments.

Hi Daniel
Well you’ve certainly been keeping up on the blogging front, unlike myself lol, but I’ve been headlong into creating products and you’re certainly one guy that’ll know if you break away for a second the focus leaves you…well, “that’s the way I role anyway,” I close every other window done and get stuck in.
Great videos Dan on Aweber and the rest, very clear and concise, I’m sure there will be plenty of people thankful for the graphics, brandable eBooks and so on…catch you later.

Thanks Eamon, that was my plan for this year. Blogging and product development are the main course with a little niche website on the side. As well as everything else that is…
I seen your eBook product Eamon nice job. With regard to losing focus, we are all guilty of that I’m sure mate. You just have to kick your own ass now and then and get on with what counts.
Thanks for stopping by mate, it’s been a while
Hey Dan,
Wow! you’re firing out these blog posts like a man possessed:)

Thanks Des
Hi Daniel
God bless Daniel Sumner! You will never know how much I appreciate those 2 videos.
I will be back to re-run them so I can follow them step by step.
Many thanks
Dee
PS You may want to change your pop up to read ‘Stay Connected.’
My pleasure Dee, I knew you were waiting for this one. Let me know if you have any issues with the material. Thanks.
Stay Connected amended thanks Dee.
Great job Dan, thanks so much.
I was uploading them by clicking on the advanced drop down tab say in the header section and then I would get my image repeating itself. I had to keep resizing it until it fit just right. Dah! See, I knew there had to be a better way, I just wasn’t sure what it was so thank you SO much for showing me this. You are a lifesaver Dan!
I bet some of your readers are going to love you for these free uploads to give away. Great job but I don’t expect anything less from you. Really appreciate you walking us through what to do. It was a big help.
Thanks Dan and I’ll look forward to more videos now that we have Paul on us to get more done.
See ya soon!

Thanks Adrienne, I glad I could be of service to your blog. I had to start the series off as a beginner so guys don’t miss out. I guess people can just pick up when they need to along the way depending on level of skill.
I have one more opt-in to do then it’s on to another video course I think. Depending on what people want. I do think tutorials style courses don’t engage as much as they are very specific.
I didn’t just want to give away any old eBooks, I would have preferred something that people could possible make some commissions from. It’s great for the guys with no products or freebies to offer.
Hey Dan,
I’m just trying to get myself out there and I am find your blog pretty helpful I must say. I do have just one question though if you don’t mind.
What do you think is the best way of creating traffic from being an unknown person?
Thanks
Dave
Dave Alcock´s last [type] ..Email Marketing Masterplan is OUT!
Generating traffic for what Dave? It depends there are a number of ways. We run ad campaigns for PLR Monthly, a few hundred dollars per month campaign keeps us on page 1 of Google for the search term PLR eBooks as well as a few others.
If you are on a budget there are a number of things you can do e.g. article marketing, adswaps, list swaps, giveaways, product creation, Youtube etc. As you can see these are good for list building too.
If you just simply want to get some traffic, brand yourself as an expert in your field. Learn your niche, eat it, sleep it, love it and be everywhere! Get social – Twitter, Facebook, blog hopping (5 comments per day), forum posting, create good content for your own blog etc
You will soon start seeing results depending on where you want to drive the traffic. Go from being and unknown to a ‘known’.
It takes time Dave, it really does and it isn’t easy. Just hang in there and go for it
Thanks for the info Dan. I better get my head down and start getting to it.
I’m glad you quantified blog hopping for me, I’d of probably be writing loads.

Great videos Dan. Certainly makes it a lot easier to set up things when you provide top quality content. Thanks.

Hi Jack, hope you are enjoying the course so far. Have you installed an opt-in form of your own?
Hi Daniel,
Yes, I did, using Aweber, though the results were mixed and I thought I was doing something wrong but I realized that is hard to build a list. I decided to switch focus but I am willing to try it again in the future.

I will be creating a series of post about tweaking soon as I am not happy with the layout of my blog either.
