Wow it feels like an eternity since my last post. I remember thinking during my Christmas break that I would write a post about my plans for 2011 and what my business model was going to be for this year. Then all of a sudden, everyone was writing posts about 2011 and their plans, so I thought I would give that post a miss and take the rest of the month off
Now what I want to know is how many of you guys who wrote about their 2011 plans have actually completed any of them? Feel free to comment I wanna know!
Although I never wrote about my plans I have written them down, and it basically breaks down like this – stop surfing and reading too many spam emails, lock the doors and work on 4 new products, also a new blog and the structure for my own high end training program this year.
So where do I stand against my plans?
Well as you can see I have a new blog, which has worked out quite well. It’s still a work in progress as most blogs are, but this is the new design and will be for a while. I do want to concentrate on more blogging this year.
I have also released a new product as well. It’s called ‘The eBook Cycle’ and you will be pleased to know it’s free for you to DOWNLOAD RIGHT NOW.
I have actually had the The eBook Cycle domain name for about 4 years. It’s been sitting unattended in my web space since eBay banned digital downloads. It was meant to be the follow up from an older product of mine The Powerseller Diaries (don’t ask you aint seeing it). I decided to create a free download for it rather than just leaving it sitting parked. Check it out anyway you should find it interesting.
The eBook Cycle links right back to this post, so please comment and pass back your feedback good, bad otherwise. Also a Facebook like would be cool too!
Don’t forget to let me know how your plans for this year are going also. I really would like to know how it’s going for you?
Thanks for reading,
Dan

Hi Dan, great new look, nice clean lines, pity you took your photo off though! Interesting that you have taken your pic off your home page but in the book you talk about letting people know you are a real person – an interesting dichotomy.
The format of your book is very interesting, different from the norm. More like a manual, I guess that’s what you intended. It reads very well and has some great info, thanks.
I had a plan for 2011. I have done more than I planned but one project I hoped to get out before March is still in the pipeline for lots of reasons, I don’t much mind though as the other projects were not intended yet and they have been fulfilled early.
Enjoy the journey.

Hi Mandy,
I actually had it on a few days ago testing it on the right hand side. It’s now in the footer and on the about me page with a lot more info. I will run the tests for a while and see how it feels.
It’s great you are getting ahead of the game with your projects, well done. You must be more organised than me
Thanks for stopping by and for the critique on my blog.
Hi Dan,
I’ve just had a quick peek at The eBook Cycle and it looks to be a great resource. Thanks for making it free for everyone.
As far as your question about reaching goals set for 2011, I find my path is not always a straight one, but always forward and in the right general direction. So it’s all good.
Thanks,
Peggy
Hi Peggy,
Welcome to the new blog, hope you like it
It’s great to see you moving forward too that’s the direct to go!
Also glad you like the eBook Cycle. I have been meaning to bring it out for a long time. The actual video series took me the longest to do but hey I’m happy I made the eBook free.
Thanks for stopping by Peggy
Hey Dan,
Yeah your getting to be as lazy as blogger as I am lol.
Damn eBay for banning digital downloads, was such a great income stream for lots of people.
I love your new blog design it’s nice n bright n easy on the eye, plus I thought I was imagining things when the image switched on your about Dan page ha ha, had to take a double look, thought I was going crazeeeeeee from lack of sleep!!!
Your latest creation is fabulous, love that also, lots of excellent tips in there and I am sure many many many people will benefit from it.
I have a domain I purchased a year ago, it’s funny how you do that isn’t it, but I know I will use it one day, once I get some other “stuff” out the way.

Hi Sally,
Just to let you know I wasn’t ignoring you, and you of all the guys got spammed!! How bad is that how dare Akismet spam Sally!!
Thanks for the comments, they are much appreciated as always
Dan
Hi Dan,
I remember the Power-Seller Diaries, and that’s how I got on your list I believe.
I like your Blog style, nice clean lines…….. Good Heavens, I sound like a Blog Spammer!!!
I’m sure the content of the book is going to be up to your high standards (I just downloaded) but at first glance it looks like Landscape format???????????????????????????????????????
Why would you do that if it’s a book and not a Ledger or something – I’d be interested to know as Holly Mann produced her second book like that and it was a pain to use off line. Was it because you expected most readers to keep it on screen?
I’ll be reading later, off to the Day Job now!

I nearly spammed you there John! I was just waiting for the multitude of links to completely unrelated items lol
Thanks for the comments regarding the blog, it is a work in progress but one I hope guys want to look at and read. I wanted my own custom design and features.
As for the eBook, I do know it reads better online or with an iPad/iPhone or widescreen monitor. If you open it up with your PDF reader I feel it reads better for guys on the move.
If you want a portrait version please let me know and I will make one for you
Thanks for the comments John.
Hi Dan,
Good Ebook on writing ebooks
(And definitely worth downloading!)
re goals for 2011 – yep… I’m moving along, albeit at a slower pace than I would have preferred…lol (A bit like Peggy… No straight lines unfortunately…lol)
As for the new blog – I too preferred your pic on the main header!
Landing on the blog now seems more impersonal that it used to
Well that’s my tuppence worth anyway
Randy
Hey Randy,
Glad you liked it!
I know how you are moving along and you have nothing to worry about mate , it’s all good. That reminds me we all need another night out, whether it’s at one of your meet up’s or here with Dave and John.
As for the blog, that’s two votes for an image so far. I will see what I can do. Thanks for the comments, I will see you on your blog soon.
Cheers
Hi Daniel,
I finally got a quiet hour to read your free eBook…top notch, very well explained throughout. Your blog looks the part, I’ve seen a couple commenting about you pic not being in the header any more, I know you have it in the about me section and at the bottom where you’re testing. I liked it at the top
but I suppose with everything online you have to test.
Would you believe it, 2nd week in march of 2011 already, where does the time disappear…I’m not to bad on targets for the year, keeping up rightly
, but sometimes other priorities get in the way, but as you’ve already said; you have to put the effort in to get anywhere with Internet marketing.
I know lots of newbies don’t get this yet as it’s obviously their first time online – they’re still thinking about them push button systems that simply don’t do squat, (pity), I’m sure most people here have been there one time or another, instead as you’ve pointed out in your free eBook; they should be knuckling down and creating their first eBook with your help.
I’ll pop over again soon Dan to see how your blogs keeping up
Eamon
Hi Eamon,
How are you?
Thanks for the compliments on the eBook Cycle
That’s 3 votes for the graphic back again. I think it will return!
I know what you are saying about the new guys. It’s funny because I never looked for the magic button or golden nugget. I have always worked hard in what I do and always explain the same to anyone asking how to start. It’s like any business, you got to work at it and take the time to get things moving. Nothing happens sitting around.
Thanks again Eamon, see ya soon!
Dan,
I gotta tell you that this program is a helluva value. I already have an ebook written, but after diving into the program, it’s clear I need to reformat the visuals. What you have given will be of great value to me and many others. The devil is in the details and now I need to go fix a bunch of details.
Great work. I think I’ll write a review and post it.
Best,
Craig
Hey Craig,
Thank you so for the appreciation. I’m happy you liked the eBook and it’s great you took something away from it.
Let me know if you write a review and I will link to it from this post
Thanks again Craig
Thanks for the book Daniel. I’d have to agree with John that the landscape layout is a bit off putting. It’s okay when it all fits on one page, but if you like to zoom in a little for your tired, old eyes (like me) then you have to scroll down and up for each page and it doesn’t flow.
Also, the link in your footer seems to be dead although the other links work okay.
The information is pretty good, and I’m glad that you included the OpenOffice route as well as Word. I’m going to have to look at more graphics in my eBooks. It really does make a difference.
I’ll definitely be looking through it a second time to get more out of it.
Ciao

Hey Dan…
Well in all honesty i don’t actually write my goals down as such but i do keep a daily journal to help me stay focused. At the moment my only goal is to work less, build my list and earn more. Oh and now to read your free book LOL
Thanks for the download
So far all is going well

You have my ultimate goal in mind too!
I’m reading the 4 hour working week by Tim Ferris at the moment and I must say I’m very envious of his lifestyle. It’s a great read you should check it out of you haven’t already.
Thanks for stopping by
Just finished your report, “eBook Cycle”. Excellent book — have 2 or 3 pages of notes and plan to use some of the suggestions immediately. Just one favor on your next book or report — remember that there are “gals” out there, not just “guys”.
