Forum Traffic - is it for you?

What do you need to get your first online business going?

Traffic a whole bunch of traffic!

Check it out HERE

You find yourself learning all the basics about HTML and images etc. Before long you have your website site up and running.

Then comes the disappointment, the lost hope and eventually the despair! Each day and you check your hit counter or web stats and notice that the millions of guys on the World Wide Web just haven’t been along for a visit!

The sudden dawning and realization hits you, people simply do not know your website is live. What follows are weeks or perhaps months of surfing from one site to the next in order to find out how to get noticed.

How do you get visitors to find your website? It’s like having a website at the bottom of the ocean!

This disappointment usually leads to excess money being spent on all sorts of promised solutions, anything from buying traffic that produces a swirl of hits appearing on your hit counter in your web stats, but no real sales to speak of.

Eventually you will learn that it costs a good deal to generate truly targeted traffic and yet you could have so easily found enough success and targeted traffic if you had only know or been told where to look!

One such place is the growing number of forums available on the net today!

Forum traffic can be a very effective and source of some of the most highly targeted forms of traffic available on the web today. Networking your way to success is the key!

Posting on forums leads people who value the info being posted, to follow those links to the website which, if the right forums have been posted in, would contain more valuable info on the subject.

Hence these visitors would be highly targeted to that particular site and far more likely to become regular visitors and potential customers.

So for the sake of your hit counter, start visiting forums and searching for more of them as soon as you can. You never know what may happen, and you’ll have the advantage of keeping hold of your cash for other forms of promotion.

The Scariest Time of My Whole Life

Well, I am now a father to a beautiful baby Girl! But what a time we went through to get her here.

Sunday the 20th of April 18:00 hours Emma’s labour started. We went on through the night until eventually admitting her to hospital at 07:00 hours Monday morning to what I thought was going to be a couple more hours labour until our new long awaited arrival. How wrong could I have possibly been!

We were admitted to room 4 of the maternity ward for around two hours then moved to the birthing pool as we wanted a water birth. By the time it reached 15:00 hours on Monday Emma had been in labour for a total of 21 hours and the fatigue was starting to kick in big time!

16:30 was the time to which I will never forget. This was the time for Emma to start pushing our baby into this world. She pushed and pushed but nothing was happening. An hour later and still no sign of our baby I turned to look at our midwife (a close personal friend of the family) and I knew there was something not going to plan. There was a different look, a not so positive look on her face as she conversed with her supporting midwife.

A little while after, the duty registrar came into the room and examined Emma. At this point I wanted to pick her up and take her out of the hospital and bring her home. I have never seen my wife in so much pain! The registrar gave an internal exam to determine the position of the baby and as she suspected, the baby was facing the wrong way. She was facing outward and her spine was against Emma’s spine, therefore making it very hard to push the baby out as she was so tried.

17:00 hours, Emma was rushed to a new room ready for an epidural to ease the pain and hopefully deliver. Too late! The baby’s heart rate dropped and the staff rushed in to help. The lower part of the bed was removed and Emma’s legs placed in stirrups. She was then given another internal exam to determine once again the position of the baby.

At this point Emma was crying with the pain and all there was to offer her was Gas and Air (Nitrogen and Oxygen mix) I have never been so scared for the lives of my wife and unborn child. The fear I felt was one I have never felt before.

The registrar appeared once again with a tray of what looked like medieval instruments. She proceeded to give Emma a local injection and inserted the forceps to prepare to grab our baby and pull her out. Instructing Emma to push while she pulled, the head began to appear and she started to cry. One more push and she was out at 17:09 on Monday the 21st of April. Fear, worry and pain did soon turned into relief, happiness and joy. We have a healthy baby girl kicking and screaming from her ordeal.

Three days on and baby Evie Isabella Sumner is fit and well, keeping me and Emma awake nearly 24/7 but I do not care one bit. Becoming a father has been the most emotional moment of my life, and I do think it will take some beating. A true miracle of nature and one which I will never forget!

Here are some pictures of baby Evie:

A Great Solution To the eBay Digital Crisis

By now you must have heard about eBay’s new policy to restrict digital downloads from their auctions.

Yeah, I thought so, but many online Marketers found out about this when eBay first mentioned it around a week ago and since then they have all been trying to come up with ideas to aid you in your time of crisis and help your business flourish again.

Dave Nicholson, a good friend of mine has spend the last few days compiling a great video series which will show you exactly a great way to get your business back on the right road.

Just when you thought it was all over, there have been so many lights at the end of the tunnel. Not too long ago John Thornhill and I talked about the eBay changes and how you could turn this into an advantage rather than a disaster. If you have not listened to the free audio you can find it in the free section of this blog.

Dave has spent a lot of time and effort compiling his brand new video series which will show you exactly how to transfer your eBooks and digital files to CD. Forget the digital downloads ban, let’s get physical and convert your files to physical products.

Why sell an eBook for $1 when you can box it up with good packaging and create your own professional auto running digital CD or DVD and sell it for 10 times the amount of a digital download product.

You will be shown how to do this using the simplest yet most professional methods so do not worry, there are no technical issues at all. If you do get stuck Dave is on hand 24/7 to help you.

Better still, all of the secrets in the videos are done using totally free methods and tools, so you will not have to shell out a single cent in order to get your product completed.

Take a look at just some of the things that you will receive:

• You will be shown how to place all of your contents onto CD/DVD.

• You will be shown how to structure your CD/DVD to optimize the simplicity and quality of your product.

• You will be shown how to make a simple menu system that will link to your CD/DVD products.

• You will be provided with 5 CD/DVD menu templates for your auto-run disc navigation, complete with PSD source file so you can edit if you require and a ready to go HTML menu system.

• You will be provided with 5 DVD/CD box templates for your DVD/CD boxes, complete with PSD source file so you can edit if you require, a ready to go default image and a blank image.

• You will be provided with 5 CD case templates for your CD cases, complete with PSD source file so you can edit if you require, a ready to go default image and a blank image.

• You will be provided with 5 CD/DVD label templates for your actual discs, complete with PSD source file so you can edit if you require, a ready to go default image and a blank image.

• You will be shown how to integrate an auto-responder newsletter subscription form.

• You will be shown how to make your CD/DVD automatically run once inserted, giving it that high quality professional look.

• You will be shown how to earn even more by adding an upsell to your product.

This one is an essential buy if you’re continuing to use eBay as your place of business. I have seen it, I have tested it and I am completely 100% recommending it!

eBay Policy Changes Audio Discussion with John Thornhill

After much thought and evaluation of my business model, this morning I called John Thornhill via Skype and recorded the whole conversation. We speak about the changes implemented by eBay and the changes we have to make as eBay digital item sellers to coincide with these changes.

There has been a lot of blog and forum posting about this subject. So I hope we can shed a little light on the subject and hopefully create a light at the end of the tunnel for guys with digital businesses.

eBay Changes “What Are You Going To DO?”

Over the last two days all we have been hearing about is how eBay is cancelling all non physical digital items provided via download. Ok now the whole panic is over and we are all thinking about how to make our businesses work rather than just thinking “it’s over, all over” The ideas are all flowing from many blogs across the internet.
The problem is obvious to us all. How are we going to deliver our items without increasing the workload. Well the answer is obvious too. We can’t so I would say get used to it if you are going to continue selling eBooks on eBay.

What needs to be done is a little evaluation and a good look at the options:

1, We can sell items on eBay UK which has not cancelled digital delivery items yet.

• Not a good idea in as they will soon follow suit and we have all in the past had issues with copyrights. This may work for a short time but will not last.

2, Continue selling items across the world with manual delivery.

• This does seem to be the only option we have at the moment so is it a good idea or should we just quit! Of course not!

John Thornhill recently wrote in his Blog “First of all I know the automation side of things disappear, I know you can use fulfillment services but for me personally I wouldn’t do it. I need to be in full control of my eBay business.”

Dan Thompson Recently wrote in his Blog “I’ve used www.swiftcd.com in the past for a number of different projects, you simply upload the “Master” CD to them via their website, and then each time someone purchases your item, you just log onto the website, fill out the delivery form with the buyers name and address, and hey-presto, SwiftCD burn, print and ship your CD to the end user.”

Well to be honest I am going to agree with both of these solutions and both John and Dan are correct. However I would like full control over what I sell and deliver but I would also like to automate as much of my business as I possibly can, this is why I run this business in the first place, so I will be watching the outcomes of these two methods very closely.

I know I will Start selling eBooks from CD, I know I will start shipping from the UK to the UK at first to test the process, I know I will be packaging, Burning and shipping myself for a while, again to test the process. When I have my Cycle in place I will then start to use an On Demand Shipping service as the competition will really hot up as the eBook CD market grows and cheap outsourced delivery will be readily available.

I feel it is like we are going back to basics again, and looking back to 2005 I remember when the eBook market was a lucrative place around 5000 items worldwide for the search term eBooks (try it now it’s around 16k). I used to see resale rights eBooks sell for £5 ($10) each now they are selling for $1, just for the traffic alone.

This change from eBay is a drastic one, but I feel now that it has happened we will see a lot better content and the market will pick back up again. With less eBook sellers and less competition we now have the opportunity to drive the prices up in the information marketing section, the $1 eBook will now become the $5 eBook again No more 1p 1 page eBooks only good content from the guys who are willing to stick it out and roll with the changes.

Change stirs up the system and sifts out the old and replaces it with the new. This is a good thing for future eBook sellers who are willing to change.

Update:

What did I say  “I will then start to use an On Demand Shipping service as the competition will really hot up as the eBook CD market grows and cheap outsourced delivery will be readily available.” There are offers coming in left right and center some as low as $3. I will let you know when I find a good one:)

Thanks again.
