You see I started to think about this post and the recent online activities I have taken part in so far, my mind kept on churning out a lot of different ideas and the steps I am going or want to take part in next. During my ride I decided to forget about making money for the time being and concentrate on the list I have before me what are my next steps?
1, should I send out a new free guide like the one you see on the right of this post which I recently wrote? Traffic maybe or a free blogging guide?
2, Should I concentrate on a new product and forget about offering free information?
3, should I concentrate on my blog and give it 100% over the next few months?
4, should I push my article marketing forward more and write more articles for greater traffic rewards?
5, should I sell my car? Do I need it? Why I thought about this I just don’t know?
6, am I qualified enough to coach people in marketing?
7, should I follow up on that website quote I was asked for last week? Hard work and very time consuming but it’s an option.
These are the thoughts that went through my head when I was on my ride, there were more but these were the ones that were most prominent in my mind as I rode.
Do You Get Good Thinking Time Like This?
Fitness is my way of think about my next steps and what comes next in my life. For me it’s none existent to have that eureka moment and put something into action by watching the tv or online gaming, even sitting in the pub with friends. Well that’s not entirely true I have made quite a few decisions in the pub and I would say the outcome is 50/50 at best. Many times have I come home with a crumpled up piece of paper in my pocket with some wild idea written on it which I have chuckled at then thrown it in the in bin so the pub is an exception
Maybe it’s the open road the feeling of being alone, me and the road or running machine when it’s raining. Solitude makes your mind work harder less distraction from the everyday chaos of life. This seclusion is the key to my thinking and idea generation.
I never looked at riding or gong to the gym in this way until last year when I went back to the gym from a two year break, but now my iPhone goes with me and the notes app is one of the most used apps I have the pleasure to use.
Do You Have Solitude?
Now I am not saying you should going out and join and gym and ride 20 miles like I did today. The fitness part of my life is just a bonus and I find I do my best thinking when I’m alone so I don’t really exercise idea generation at any other times (Unless I’m in the pub then it’s a 50/50 chance).
What I would say is if you are lost for ideas and your next steps, the answers are not always in a forum or the next gurus outbox. We all have the same interests in common it just takes those moments of thinking when you are at your most peaceful which allows your mind to be free of distraction and allows you the time to think about “What’s Next!”
BTW the tuna sandwich was my reward for riding 20 miles

Hi Mike,
Great comment you are exactly right a few hours down time gives you time to recharge and look at other angles and ideas.
Thanks!
